4 years ago I got on the waitlist. I made sure to choose one of the other schools I applied for, and even paid the deposit for that school. 1.5 month before I was about to enter college, I got off the waitlist. It isn't impossible as others have said so good luck. Just make sure to pay the deposit on another school.
